Ode to Mama Bird

April showers bring May flowers — as the saying goes, everything is in bloom here in Pacific Northwest. Our backyard chickadees are active as ever and I’m hoping to see a group of new fledglings again sometime this spring or summer. Last year my daughter and I spotted a couple of fledglings on the ground, clumsily trying to get back up to the higher branches while mama bird kept scolding us. So we left them alone. 

Just in time for Mother’s Day, we’e releasing a new woodblock print “Ode to Mama Bird” — celebrating all mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, and all the women and men who nurture the young and old.
