Based on Yoshiko Yamamoto's "kiri-e" (paper-cut) art, this block print was printed on 100% cotton, acid-free Rives BFK paper. Yoshiko first made a "kiri-e" image of the dark outline. Then we made 8 polymer blocks for each color. At the Press we print each color separately, using hand-mixed fade-resistant ink.
Our block print frames are made by Dard Hunter Studios in Ohio using quarter-sawn white oak. Mortise-and-tenon edges, Craftsman Oak finish, Fern Mat.
Limited edition of 100 prints.
