Based in the Pacific Northwest, The Arts & Crafts Press was founded in 1996 by Bruce Smith and Yoshiko Yamamoto. We specialize in crafting letterpress printed note cards and limited-edition block prints. We work with the belief that art is not an object, it is a way of life. We strive to create things of beauty by using our head, our heart, and our hands.

Happy November!
Here at last. . . we finished printing, trimming and assembling our 2015 Letterpress Calendar! At the Arts & Crafts Press, we love making these calendars. For the year 2015, I carved 12 floral designs and Rachel, our talented presswoman, printed all the pages, using our old Heidelberg printing presses. It is a compact desktop calendar with a beautiful oak stand (made by Dard Hunter Studios) that can hold 12 calendar pages.
New Blockprint Additionally I'm very proud to announce the completion of my new blockprint "Peace Lanterns." It is based on my watercolor sketch of the lantern-floating ceremony in Seattle, WA.
Held every year on August 6th (the day the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima in 1945), the event advocates peace and opposes war and violence. To find out more,  please visit the blockprint page. Or please visit our blog, www.artsandcraftspress.wordpress.com.

Art Shows This Fall (to be announced):

I'd always love to hear from you; please don't hesitate to drop me a note at info@artsandcraftspress.com.
